Why I Don’t Use Eye Cream or Serum Separately
I have explained why I don’t use eye cream or serum separately. You can read it here and here.
No separate eye products needed if face products don’t cause eye problems (sebaceous glands, milia, eczema, itching, sensitivity, allergies, burning). In such cases, I apply these face products under and around my eyes.
Eye Contour Products vs. General Face Products
Using separate eye contour products, if preferred and found beneficial, is harmless. However, general face products are similar to eye contour products, especially basic moisturizers.
For those with oily faces but dry eye areas, you can use a suitable face product with a moisturizing texture.
Best Actives for the Eye Contour Area
The eye contour area benefits from a range of powerful actives. Retinol (from retinoids) minimizes wrinkles and vein appearance. Additionally, caffeine enhances blood circulation. Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and other ingredients deliver moisture. Moreover, ceramides support lipid levels in the skin. Vitamin C, niacinamide, and other compounds specifically target spots and offer antioxidant benefits. These actives work together to improve both the condition and appearance of the eye contour area.
Easily find these active ingredients in facial products for your skin and eye contour.

You can add eye contour products to your routine if the products cause problems. Additionally, opt for facial products that are compatible with your skin and do not trigger these problems.
